Andres Merida

Andrés Mérida, born in Algeciras (Cádiz) in 1964 and living in Málaga since 1970, began his artistic career professionally in the 1990s. His academic training took place at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville, and his career has been consolidating through exhibitions inside and outside of Spain, showcasing his works in many cities (such as New York, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Dortmund, Guadalajara, Lisbon, etc.).

His work has evolved from the beginning, drawing influences from artistic movements of the 20th century, primarily expressionist and surrealist currents, thus creating his own universe and style that can be easily identified.
